He worked his way up through the ranks to of the marketing department of the Steamboat Springs resort in Colorado on the marketing side. He eventually became the director of marketing for Steamboat.
This is a position that he held until he got one of the most high-profile jobs in the American ski resort industry. He was hired by Squaw Valley Holdings as the CEO of the Squaw Valley resort. His mission is to make Squaw Valley one of the most popular destinations in the world for skiers.
Andy Wirth is also very active in the local community through his service work. He has served and worked with many different community organizations in the Lake Tahoe area that are dedicated to the conservation of the environment in the area. His most important charitable work may be his efforts to help the families of special forces soldiers in the military and their family. He helps raise money for them through his ironman team “Wounded Warrior Support”.
His company’s next step towards becoming a worldwide destination for skiers is the expansion that they are planning. This expansion has been met with some opposition, though. This opposition has mainly come from the League to Save Lake Tahoe led by Jesse Patterson. They say that the planned expansion will have a huge negative impact on the traffic congestion in the area.
Both sides recently met with the Placer Country Planning Commission to see if the expansion can move forward. The meeting was civil in nature and both sides had a chance to make their point.
The commission voted to give the thumbs up to the resort so that they can have an October meeting with the county executive board of directors. This will be the final meeting to decide the fate of the expansion.
Andy Wirth says that his company did not cause the current traffic issues that the county is experiencing. He also says that he has the plan to keep the expansion from having a sizable negative impact on the area when it comes to traffic. Jesse Patterson says that he would like to see that plan in writing.
