So, a while back on The Ultimate Apple Weblog they had a post about someone recovering the original apple I basic from an audio tape that had been digitised into an mp3.

The original post with this story on pagetable.com included the mp3 in question. So of course I downloaded it with plans to use it in a song.

This is that song.

As well as samples of apple 1 basic, there are a couple of other iconic apple sounds…. and some text to speech of a basic program I wrote, and the staple phrase of apple software update documentation: “This update improves stability and performance and provides a number of important bug fixes”
