I didn't write the bridge, it is basically an "evolution" of the original quote made by Mr Steve Eley on the alt.athiest usenet forum back in the day (steve now does some podcasts like http://escapepod.org/)

I am very aware of Mr Townsend, I don't have ziltoid.... in fact I'm missing some of his stuff - stuff that I deleted because I only had pirate copies. I will get it all, when I can find it, Punky Brewster is kinda hard to get - but the funniest thing he ever did.

It is very helpful to know the actual theory when playing in other tunings.... this song could be played in drop-c (or kittie tuning as I call it - all tunings should be refered to by the related canadian metal band) the only tricky part would be the "big power chords" in the bridge.

Cool song! I'm very admiring of some of the clever lyrics, especially verse 2. And is the Bridge your own wording, or from elsewhere? It's witty. I also like how you altered your voice for it.

Also, I'm glad to see you are aware of the work of Mr Townsend. I haven't heard much Strapping Young Lad, but I am a big fan of his latest epiphone, Ziltoid the Omniscient. Have you heard it, and do you like it? I was also unaware of open C tuning until he demonstrated it in videos included on the Ziltoid album (which I had to get off YouTube, since I got my Ziltoid as a download from emusic as part of my monthly subscription). He's an amusing guy... and I also enjoyed the interview with him as posted on the Full Metal Racket page here: http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/racket/default.htm

I tried Open C briefly, but don't know enough musical theory to apply the physical patterns I know in standard/drop-d to be able to do anything but heavy riffs on the bottom 3 strings, which I can also accomplish in Drop-C, which I am currently enjoying...
